This I believe: That goals should be set out of reach. That way to accomplish them you have to work hard and strive to do better than you ever have. In terms of PHA I also think that we should be setting goals that appear to be out of reach. The one that comes to mind first is uniting as a council.
When a women joins a sorority she knows that she is joining her chapter, but usually it doesn't occur to her that she is joining something bigger than that too. When she joins a PHA chapter here at OSU she is also joining a sisterhood of 16 chapters. If you have ever been on a Greek retreat at the end there is this great feeling of unity between chapters and such positive energy; slowly though when everyone returns to the "real" world that feeling fades. I want to find a way to not only keep that energy but to have it spread. I think the only way to do this is to get larger groups of chapters together. On retreats or at the meetings there are only a limited number of women for each chapter; I think if we had a way to get larger groups of women together and had chapters all mixed up we can unite more as a council. Our individual letters are important but I think united as a council and having chapters be more like friends we can do great things!
